Our Dolphin & Island Tours take approximately 3 hours. Seasonally, departure times are subject to change. The dock is currently empty at 9:00 a.m., and 12:30.
We'll take you into the water before the dolphins arrive. So the dolphins are more likely than not to swim away to us to find us. Our snorkel gear can be put on quickly so you don't have the disruptions and splashing that large groups cause, which often scares the dolphins. We have five boats with identical designs for larger groups. The new Large Family Dolphin can accommodate up to 15 guests.

We will travel to Historic Grand Lagoon and take a 25-minute relaxing cruise to Shell Island, our snorkeling area. Look out for dolphins and other sea creatures as you cruise along the coast. We will anchor at the Gulf of Mexico or Shell Island. From there, you can either snorkel for seashells or learn about local marine-life. Or just relax and soak up the sun. Shell Island also has shallow water that you can use to search for shells. After visiting Shell Island for a while, we will take a ride into the Gulf of Mexico. Here we will look for dolphins and see the sights along the way.
Manatees are also often seen in the water. You may be allowed to swim near manatees if the conditions are right, but we always observe them passively and avoid getting close.
Florida's wild dolphins can not be swam with. According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, it is against federal legislation to harass wild dolphins. Also, dolphins are more susceptible to being hurt in interactions with humans when they swim with people.
Dolphinaria might have you believe that dolphins are not apex predators of the ocean. They can kill sharks and should be treated accordingly. The aggressive nature of dolphins can make them dangerous to humans, other dolphins and even cause self-harm. The majority of dolphins found in the United States are kept in captivity. However, they are not domesticated.
Florida's freshwater fish can be consumed without any harm. Mercury levels are low in marine fish like Bluegill, Redear sunfish and Redbreast Sunfish.
